Lake District sketching walks

This summer I will be leading a number of short sketching walks in the Lake District.

These walks are aimed at anyone who would like to get out into the wonderful scenery of the National Park and spend time appreciating the view in a new way.

Details

These walks will provide the perfect opportunity to appreciate the scenery of the Lake District in a new way - by sketching it.

The process of sketching causes you to really take in the view, and gives you time to be a part of it, in a way that simply taking a quick photo and moving on doesn't.

We will spend time in nature, on some scenic Lake District walks, with plenty of time to stop and draw or paint. The half day walks will include a short guided walk, with stops at points of interest where we will spend time painting the scene. The walks are aimed at all abilities, the level of difficultly is indicated for each walk, but please ask if you have any questions about the length or difficulty of the path.

Walks will take approximately 3 hours, start time 2pm. Materials will be provided for pencil and watercolour sketching, and participants will leave the day with their own sketches as memories of the day. Maximum group size is 10. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Cost:

£25 per adult (over 16)

£12 per child aged 12 - 16

Free for children under 12
